Admission Procedure

Before you choose a school for your child, we encourage you to choose an education

St. Joseph International School is defined by its philosophy and corresponding methodology of learning, supported by state-of-the-art infrastructure. We invite families to visit us and share in the St. Joseph International School experience. While most students will join school at the beginning of each academic year, we understand that some may arrive in Agra at a later date. Based on the availability of places, we are happy to admit students throughout the year. The school does not discriminate on the basis of race, creed, colour, gender or national origin. We do, however, limit the number of students based on our capacity to provide required learning support individually.

Eligibility

All students are eligible for admission if it is believed that the school can provide an educational programme that can meet their particular needs. We are staffed to enable learning support to a limited number of students with mild to moderate learning disabilities.

English Language Learners

All children whose native language is not English may be required to take reading and writing language assessments during the enrollment stage, and then upon entry to the school. Admission may be conditional on the child receiving extra assistance through the English as an Additional Language programme.

Class Placement

Children entering St. Joseph International School will be placed according to their age. In Middle Years and High School an exception may be made based on a child’s educational history. Assessment is based on a combination of age, previous educational record, tests taken at the time of admission and classroom observation. Decisions on placement will be made by the Head of School on the recommendation of the relevant Principal
